Activity saved my life
It’s become what I do – so I can do life
One that I wished for with all of my might
So why do I do what I do with such fight?
It’s become what I do – so I can do life.
C’est Tout!
C’est tout, c’est fini!
That’s all, it’s over!
I stuck with it and did not miss a day of handstand training. Thirty straight days!

Everyday for thirty days, I worked on the handstand.
Was there success? It could be framed as such. Yet, there was NO REAL press-up JUST a really good four second kick-up.
I’m very proud of said kick-up!

Tips –
Stick to the training – even when you feel like you’re not making progress, you are.
Anything worth doing takes time and the body does adapt.
Abs are a mystery! Do a lot of (I did not) abdominal exercises!
Tip-nots –
Don’t announce you’re going to go from zero to a hundred in a PUBLIC blog post!
Don’t expect instant results, anything worth doing takes time!
Don’t overlook the value (I did) of abdominal muscles.
Conclusion –
Although I was able to kick-up to a handstand as well as launch up from downward facing dog – my goal was to press-up gracefully. There was no grace involved.
I’m addicted and determined to learn the press-up AND plan to conquer this beast. I’m going to get there via the crow pose.

Thirty days was not enough time for ME to master the handstand press-up.
However, a good base was built. Replaying the weekly videos, I see progress.
The Final Week –
Day 22. 05/04/2020. HEADstand is a GO! I wish this had been a headstand challenge.
Day 23. 05/05/2020. Crow pose is growing on me – the face plant , not so much.
Day 24. 05/06/2020. Held a handstand for two seconds.
Day 25. 05/07/2020. Continual face plants on crow pose.
Day 26. 05/08/2020. For every two second handstand there are five really weird looking attempts.
Day 27. 05/09/2020. Not one good stick. Felt weak. Stick with the training.
Day 28. 05/10/2020. Wrists are feeling the wear.
Day 29. 05/11/2020. I’m all nerves and not sticking much more than a quick 1001, 1002.
Day 30. 05/12/2020. I completed 30 straight days of handstand practice. And I got that crow pose.
